Bryant Carter Band in the Spotlight!
August 26, 2010 in Scene Spotlight by SceneKC
Bryant Carter truly embodies the spirit of Kansas City so it is truly fitting that he is the first musical artist to be profiled in the Scene Spotlight. If you don’t believe me, check out a snippet from his official bio:
Bryant Carter Band is building a brand of true, authentic Missouri music. In a genre of music where artists aren’t necessarily songwriters, Bryant Carter has been writing and playing his own music since he was 15. Raised in rural Missouri, Bryant spent his youth around Saturday night bonfires singing his songs about love lost, hard living, and down home values. After years of building his own loyal fan base, Bryant joined with Shawn Buxton, Jake Franklin, and Kenny Marshall in 2009 to form the Bryant Carter Band. If you’re looking for real and honest music with a dash of “fuck you” attitude then check out the Bryant Carter Band at their next show. You won’t be disappointed.
Now that’s the type of attitude I like! Even when his music is on the softer side there is still that edge there that will put a grin on your face. Take a listen to “Brightside” one of the tracks from Bryant’s album, “12 Packs & Heartaches” (you can download it too):

Folks with songwriting like that coupled with a band of seasoned pros, you are definitely going to have to get one of their next gigs! Seeing is believing so check out this clip from one of their recent shows at the Beaumont Club.
