Get Out this Weekend!

There are weekends where there is just too much going on and folks this weekend happens to be one of them! Get out and hear some great SCENE recommended music. Let’s start with Friday (4/23). There are two excellent choices depending on your musical tastes.

The guys over at u:move.net and NRG Nightclub are bringing in veteran house DJ Charles Feelgood! If you are into House Music DO NOT MISS his set! Here is a little sample of Mr. Feelgood in action.

*** Next up on Friday is the Wakarusa DJ Competition Featuring Janaka Selekta!

OK this is going to be something different and very, very cool. If you want to go out and listen to electronic music being created with a different vibe than the usual nightclub fare then get over to the Wakarusa DJ Competition. Another reason to go will be to hear the perfectly sublime music of Janaka Selekta from Mighty Dub Killaz. This UK, Sri Lankan fuses global music with laidback dubstep beats that is completely unique and original. Folks this will be something to hear live for sure and an added bonus is that you will also be showing some local talent some support. Click HERE for more information.

Folks Saturday I honestly have to say that Scooter and LaVelle at NRG is going to be a party. This dynamic duo of the decks knows how to pump up the crowd and you will be hard pressed to stand on the wall at all Saturday night. In case you don’t believe me here is a little sample so you can see for yourself.

OK so folks if you miss all of this and choose to stay inside Friday and Saturday, Sunday you might have one last shot at a party. Sunday night head over to RA Sushi in Leawood for what is going to be a huge party. DJ Mike Scott is on the decks and there will be fantastic drink specials! RA will be the place to be Sunday night!.
